Perfect for over 40s (and under 40s too)

I have always enjoyed training in a gym. Be it Crossfit or more traditional Strength and Conditioning.

As I have grown older, my recovery periods have extended and I started to get disillusioned with training just for strength. Whilst this is important, it can bring about negatives, like DOMS and potential injuries.

That is why I am so pleased that I found Kettlebells and in particular Kettlebell Sport. There are only a limited number of clubs around the country and I am fortunate to live so close to BigKat in Harrogate.

Doing a couple of classes a week, meeting friendly like minded people has given me a new boost of enthusiasm. Combined with practising at home is a perfect balance of work/gym/life.

Found this interesting article on why you should give Kettlebell Sport a try. It is so true.

I have lost 10kg since last summer when I left the old gym, going down several notches in my belt.

I have really enjoyed the Grassroots comps and am looking forward to see if I can rank at the English Kettlebells event in February.

Just did on online kettlebell competition on Saturday which was fun and should test me on a monthly basis.
